ProdataKey Simplifies Power Management with a New Power over Ethernet Module

Draper, UT | August 14, 2026: ProdataKey (PDK), providers of intuitive cloud-based access control solutions, has just released a new version of their Power over Ethernet (PoE) module for Red™ Door Controllers. This new module, the RMPOE2, allows PDK dealers to set up quick, cost-effective power for their ProdataKey installations.
PDK’s Power over Ethernet module was designed to guarantee a simple, plug-and-play installation. Additionally, the RMPOE2 module grants integrators the flexibility to utilize the PoE, PoE+, and PoE++ standards. With the PoE standard, dealers can get 11 watts at 0.8 amps for any Red 1, 2, 4, or Aux 8 board. With PoE+, dealers get 24 watts at 1.7 amps for Red 1, 2, 4, and Aux 8 boards. And with PoE++, dealers get 27 watts at 2 amps for Red 1 and 2 boards, and 49 watts at 3.5 amps for a Red 4 or Aux 8 board.
Thanks to the latest developments from ProdataKey, the PoE module is now compatible with a broader set of PoE switches, giving dealers increased flexibility when planning and executing system installations.
“With PoE, especially in tougher installations where you’re putting devices in hard-to-reach spaces, you’re not going to have to run an electrician out there to put outlets in or run wire to power supplies,”
